Jochen Kinast and Sif Sneum at “SMiD 2026”
At the SMiD 2026 conference "From Print to Prompt" at Roskilde University, Jochen Kinast and Sif Sneum presented our analysis of police representations on TikTok.
The study examined which police-related content gains algorithmic traction on the platform, how narratives differ between Germany and Denmark, and the respective roles of official and user-generated content.
Our discussion addressed the implications of these portrayals for the occupational image of the police, public trust in the police in the EU, and employer branding strategies.
