New interview with Manuel Menke on nostalgia as a political strategy
In an interview with NordForsk, Manuel Menke, PI of the PastForward Project on the political uses of the past in the Nordics, talks about the role of nostalgia in politics in a world in constant crisis-mode.
He explains why nostalgia is omnipresent and remains a major driver of politics globally and what this means for the Nordics.
The project builds on the work of two postdocs, Marie Meier and Kalle Eriksson, as well as Menke’s collaborators Karoline Andrea Ihlebæk (Norway), Samuel Merrill (Sweden), and Katarina Pettersson (Finland).
