Furthermore the article uses Boltanski and Chiapellos work on the New Spirit of Capitalism in order to find out what role order of worth the projective city, play in the legitimation work performed by cultural organizations. The article conclude that openness and many differentiated connections are necessary to maintain legitimacy for cultural organizations. The cultural organizations frame their tasks as meetings and facilitation of connections, and they plan and carry out many activities in collaboration with partners.
