Welcome to Mads Vestergaard and Joachim S. Wiewiura. New PhDs at CIBS, Center for Information and Bubble Studies.

Mads Vestergaards project will focus on the environment for political opinion formation that is the result of the digitized media world. It explores the informational mechanisms and structures that facilitates political bubbles and post-factuality along with current tendencies of increasing circulation of conspiratorial and extremists narratives.

Joachim S. Wiewiueras project deals with the role of (mis)information in public spheres; the contrast between public signals and public opinion; information dynamics (e.g. polarization); intellectual history of the public sphere.

Both PhDs are funded by the Carlsberg Foundation.
