Generational Gaps in the European Audiovisual Industry

What does it mean to build a sustainable European audiovisual industry across generations?Generated with AI

This workshop brings together leading scholars and industry professionals to explore how generational dynamics are reshaping careers, production cultures, decision-making structures and audiences in film and television. From emerging talent to established players, the discussions will address who gets access, who gets heard, and how the industry renews itself.

Bridging academic research and industry insight, the workshop features contributions from organisations such as the European Producers Club, European Writers Club, Film i Väst, and Danish producers’ associations.

The goal of the workshop is to define the key challenges, identify missing data, and lay the foundations for a new collaborative research project on generational renewal in the European audiovisual sector.
