Matthias Hoffmann is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of social movements and digital media, with a special interest in far-right online mobilization. He works with both quantitative and qualitative methods, especially social network analyses and content analyses.
Matthias has collected, analyzed, and visualized data from various social media platforms using both R and Python.
Matthias graduated from the Free University Berlin in Political Sciences and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Trento in Sociology and Social Research. Before joining the Department of Communication, he worked at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society in Berlin.
