My research is interdisciplinary. Frequently, I look at how we think about the brain in relationship to the human body. Some other work examines the making of neuroscience (and its re-making) as well as public discussions of neuroscience. However, I also conduct research at the intersection of materiality and rhetoric more generally. I am quite interested in expanding rhetorical theory through investigations of the emotions and embodiment.
With respect to my field areas, my work generally draws from rhetoric, science & technology studies, and the public understanding of science.
