February 2018: Nete Nørgaard Kristensen publishes two book chapters on cultural journalists’ negotiations of the quality of popular culture phenomena such as TV-series and bestsellers in Hovden, J.F. & Prytz, Ø. (eds.) Kvalitetsforhandlinger: Kvalitetsbegrepet i samtidens kunst og kultur. Fakbokforlaget Vigmostad & Bjørke. Open access. The articles are co-authored by Kristina Riegert and Heikki Hellman.

December 2017: Nete Nørgaard Kristensen publishes the article ’Cultural Mediators Seduced by Mad Men: How Cultural Journalists Legitimated a Quality TV series in the Nordic Region’ in Television & New Media, the article is co-authored by Kristina Riegert and Heikki Hellman.

December 2017: Nete Nørgaard Kristensen publishes the book chapter “The Mediatization of Fashion: The Case of Fashion Blogs.” In: Driessens O., Bolin G., Hepp A., Hjarvard S. (eds) Dynamics Of Mediatization. Transforming Communications – Studies in Cross-Media Research. Palgrave Macmillan. The chapter is co-authored by Christia Lykke Christensen.

November 2015: Nete Nørgaard Kristensen and three Nordic colleagues have received a grant of 674.000 NOK from Norwegian Arts Council Norway to a Nordic research project on the negotiation of quality in the cultural media coverage and debate about bestsellers and tv-series. The project title is A Question of Quality? Nordic cultural critique in the media and the negotiation of popular culture, and it will run from February 2016 to January 2017. Read more.
